The Research Professionals Network (RPN) Onboarding Checklist was developed by the Research Professionals Network (RPN) Leadership Committee to assist hiring managers in determining necessary tasks when onboarding a new team member. The checklist covers tasks that are relevant to the majority of new research hires at BMC/BU Medical Campus, but it is not comprehensive. You are encouraged to modify this checklist to meet your team’s needs.

As onboarding requirements change at BMC and BU Medical Campus, this checklist will need to be updated. If you discover a new required task that is not in the checklist that you would like to see included, or the information you see is incorrect or needs updating, please fill out this Update Request Form and the RPN Manager will follow up on your request.
