Biography

Teviah Sachs, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and he is the Chief of the Section of Surgical Oncology at Boston Medical Center.

He received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School and a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He is board certified in both general surgery and complex general surgical oncology by the American Board of Surgery.

His clinical interests include hepatic, biliary, pancreatic and gastric disease, as well as soft tissue malignancies and skin cancers. He completed a Masters of Public Health in clinical effectiveness and his research interests pertain to surgical outcomes, disparities and surgical education.
