Biography
Shabatun Islam, MD is a cardiologist based in Boston, MA with subspecialties in heart failure and transplantation. She completed her fellowship on cardiovascular disease at Emory University School of Medicine from 2019 to 2023 and her residency in internal medicine at Boston University Medical Center from 2016 to 2019. She is a graduate of Boston University School of Medicine’s Class of 2016. In addition, she completed another fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital from 2023 to 2024. Dr. Islam has numerous publications in reputable medical journals, with many focusing on cardiovascular disease and how it is influenced by social factors or linked with other conditions.
