Biography

Dr. Ranchal is the Associate Clerkship Director for the fourth year medical students in the Advanced Internal Medicine Ambulatory Clerkship (Medicine II) at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. She is the Director of Early Clinician Development and Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Ranchal is also a member of Academy of Medical Educators at BUSM.

Dr. Ranchal is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician at Boston Medical Center. After medical school, Dr. Ranchal completed her Internal Medicine residency from New York Medical College, NY. Following completion of her clinical training, Dr. Ranchal completed a fellowship in medical education and Masters in Health Professions Education at Boston University Graduate School of Education. Dr. Ranchal is passionate for medical education with particular interest in improving transition from UME to GME. She is the program lead for ambulatory boot camp for Internal Medicine interns at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Ranchal has expertise in designing competency-based curricula, curriculum evaluation methods, and teaching methods.
