Dr. Nicole M. Jackson is a family physician who is driven by her interests in the care for the underserved, health equity, medical education, representation in medicine, URiM recruitment, retention and vitality, maternal-child health, reproductive health, wellness, organizational change and quality improvement. Dr. Nicole Jackson completed her medical education at Harvard Medical School and her family medicine residency at Boston Medical Center. She serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Department of Family Medicine at Boston Medical Center, where she strives to create a safe, supportive, diverse and inclusive environment for residents and faculty in the department. Dr. Jackson’s current interests include serving as a resource for underrepresented minority (URM) applicants during residency recruitment season; improving strategies for URM resident and faculty recruitment and retention; supporting resident and faculty development with regard to structural racism and their effect on institutional culture and patient care; and collaborating within and outside the department on diversity and inclusion work.
