Biography

After completing her residency at Columbia‐Presbyterian Medical Center, Katherine Hsu, MD, began her fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. During this period she was awarded the Massachusetts Infectious Disease Society Edward H. Kass Award for Clinical Excellence During Fellowship. Nineteen years later, she is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in Adolescent Medicine. In addition to her work in the school of medicine, she serves Medical Director in the Division of STD Prevention & HIV/AIDS Surveillance as a part of the Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Her research interests are sexually transmitted diseases and syndromes in adolescents and young adults, infectious diseases in adolescents and young adults, post-sexual assault care in adolescents and young adults, and vaccine preventable diseases in adolescents and young adults.
