Katherine K. Hsu, MD

Biography

After completing her residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, Katherine Hsu, MD, MPH, began her fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. During this period she was awarded the Massachusetts Infectious Disease Society Edward H. Kass Award for Clinical Excellence During Fellowship. She is now a Professor of Pediatrics in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. In addition to her work in the school of medicine, she serves Medical Director in the Division of STD Prevention & HIV Surveillance as a part of the Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Her research interests include vaccine-preventable diseases and prevention of sexually transmitted infections, and she has published in various scientific journals, including Vaccine, Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Lancet HIV, PLoS Medicine, American Journal of Preventive Medicine, American Journal of Epidemiology, and American Journal of Public Health.
