Biography

Dr. Girard F. Gibbons is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and an Attending Anesthesiologist at Boston Medical Center. He earned his Medical Doctorate (MD) from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Gibbons completed his residency in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in Pain Medicine, serving as Chief Fellow, at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY.

Dr. Gibbons specializes in anesthesiology and pain management, with a focus on optimizing perioperative care and improving patient outcomes through innovative pain management strategies. His research interests include the application of imaging in oncology and pain medicine, as demonstrated by his peer-reviewed publications in journals such as European Journal of Radiology and Radiology. He has also contributed chapters on neuroimaging for anesthesiology in An Anesthesiologist’s Guide to Radiologic Images, reflecting his expertise in interdisciplinary medical applications.
