Biography

Denise M. Sloan, Ph.D. is a psychologist and Associate Director in the Behavioral Science Division, National Center for PTSD. She is also a Professor of Psychiatry at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine.

Her research expertise is in psychosocial treatments for PTSD and emotion in psychopathology. She has received funding from her work from several organizations, including the National Institute for Mental Health and Department of Veterans Affairs. Dr. Sloan is a member of several editorial boards including Behavior Therapy, Behaviour Research and Therapy, and Journal of Abnormal Psychology.
