Biography

Chris Gillespie, PhD is a Medical Sociologist specializing in patient perception of risk and the experience of routine cancer screening. Dr. Gillespie is based at the VA Bedford Healthcare System in the Center for Health Optimization and Implementation Research (CHOIR). He primarily conducts qualitative research to understand the meaning and experience of health risk. Upon finishing his graduate education, Dr. Gillespie completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Health Services Research at VA Bedford.
