Biography

Chad William Farris, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and the Section Chief of Neuroradiology at Boston Medical Center. He is also the Co-Director of Center for Translational Neuroimaging and Co-Director of Neuroimaging for the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Farris has long standing interests in utilization of neuroimaging to investigate the neuropathologic mechanisms underlying cognitive impairment with aging and superimposed pathologic processes. He collaborates on related work with members of the Framingham Heart Study, Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, Boston University Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Center, and the Boston University College of Engineering. He has additional research interests including Imaging of Patients with Head and Neck Trauma, Relationships between Head Trauma and Cognitive Impairment, and Utilization of Artificial Intelligence in Neuroradiology with an emphasis on AI use in Stroke, Cognitive Impairment, and Trauma.
