Biography

Asem Ali, MBBS is an endocrinologist with particular interests include diabetes management (inpatient and outpatient), lipids, weight management and cardiometabolic health and prevention of complications. His research interests include understanding factors leading to weight gain and metabolic syndrome, and research experience includes use of isotopes to determine adipose tissue distribution and the associated mechanisms. In addition to certification in endocrinology, he is also a diplomate of American Board of Obesity Medicine and American Board of Clinical Lipidology.
