Alison Tam, MD

Biography

Dr. Tam graduated from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, FL. She completed her Psychiatry Residency and a Community Psychiatry Fellowship at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. While doing her fellowship, she was awarded the Nasir Khan MD Public Psychiatry Scholarship to pursue a Masters in Public Health at Boston University School of Public Health. Upon graduation from both the fellowship and the Masters program, Dr. Tam accepted a position as an attending at BMC. She currently provides clinical ambulatory care at Upham’s Corner Health Center and South Cove Community Health Center, supervises residents, and is the director of the quality improvement curriculum for the residency program. She also teaches a Community Psychiatry course for PGY-1 residents. Her interests lie in community psychiatry, public sector psychiatry, healthcare systems, health policy, quality improvement, and resident education.
