Wendy Kuohung, MD, Named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for August
The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology Wendy Kuohung, MD, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for August.
Wendy Kuohung, MD
Dr. Kuohung joined the faculty in July 2004 and is director of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Boston Medical Center and an affiliate physician at Boston IVF. She treats patients with infertility and other reproductive disorders and performs minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic surgery. Her research interests lie in disparities in reproductive care, placental and reproductive tract development, and the microbiome of the reproductive tract, and she is currently PI of a March of Dimes Discovery Research Grant.
Her nominators say, “For 10 years, Dr. Kuohung was the Reproduction Module director for the Disease and Therapy (DRx) course. This is a really long time for a module director – they often change after a year or two. It is a yearlong endeavor to make sure the module runs well and an intense few weeks.
“With her calm nature and organizational skills, it was one of the best run and most liked modules of DRx – it got lots of rave reviews from students! She was always open to feedback and several years ago was one of the first directors to adopt a flipped classroom for one the lectures.
“Dr. Kuohung always makes students feel included and that their questions are important and valued.
Congratulations!
