The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Associate Professor of Pharmacology, Physiology & Biophysics Rachel Flynn, PhD, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for September.
Dr. Flynn joined the BU community in July 2013. She is director of the PhD program in pharmacology and director of the American Cancer Society Postbaccalaureate Research Fellows Program. Dr. Flynn teaches and mentors undergraduate, graduate and medical students in the area of cancer biology.
Her nominators say, “Dr. Flynn fosters a positive and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable.
“She creates an atmosphere where students are not afraid to make mistakes or ask questions.
“Dr. Flynn expertly balances the guidance of students while at the same time fostering their independence.
