Padmasini Kandadai MD, MPH, Named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for June
The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology Padmasini Kandadai, MD, MPH, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for June.
Padma Kandadai, MD, MPH
Kandadai joined the Medical Campus community in October 2014. She is the department’s director of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery and treats patients with a full spectrum of pelvic floor disorders as a urogynecology attending at Boston Medical Center. Her interests include minimally invasive surgery and resident education in vaginal surgical techniques. She leads field-specific advising for fourth-year MD students who are planning on pursuing OB/GYN residency and runs the Gynecologic Inpatient Subinternship course.
Her nominators say, “Dr. Kandadai is an outstanding teacher and mentor for medical students, residents and young attendings. She won the Medical Student teaching award, given annually to the faculty who has contributed most to medical student education.
“She is a wonderful resource to new attendings. She constantly looks for ways to mentor and support junior faculty, ensuring they are always working on projects aimed to enhance their career.
