The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Professor of Medicine Joseph Rencic, MD, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for October.

A member of the BU community since June 2019, Rencic is director of clinical reasoning education, co-course director of Doctoring 2, and a member of the Academy of Medical Educators. An internal medicine hospitalist, he also serves as acting internship director for the fourth-year internal medicine rotation at Boston Medical Center. These positions align with his strong professional interests in medical education, curriculum design, assessment, competency, and mentoring.

His nominators say, “Dr. Rencic is dedicated to his patients and the art of medicine.

“He exemplifies what it means to be a lifelong learner. The things he taught me in our short time together will become the foundation upon which I will grow as a doctor.

“Dr. Rencic is the most inspirational doctor and teacher I have worked with during my entire time here at the school.”

Congratulations!
