Rod Hochman Family Clinical Skills and Simulation Center

The Rod Hochman Family Clinical Skills & Simulation Center at Boston University’s Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is a cutting-edge educational facility designed to prepare students for real-world clinical practice. Located on the sixth floor of the Instructional Building, the 13,500-square-foot center features advanced simulation environments, including four emergency/hospital rooms, thirteen standardized patient exam rooms, and thirteen clinical skills labs. It was funded by a generous gift from BU alumni Rod Hochman (CAS’79, CAMED’79) and Nancy Hochman (Sargent’77,’83). The center supports MD, physician assistant, mental health, and genetic counseling students in developing essential skills such as physical diagnosis, communication, and team-based care. With high-fidelity manikins and ultrasound devices, amongst other high and low fidelity equipment, the center fosters immersive, hands-on learning that bridges the gap between classroom education and clinical experience

The CSSC can only be used by BUCHASM/BMC faculty, residents and students.
