BUSM’s David Center Recognized by American Thoracic Society

David Center, MD, Gordon and Ruth Snider Professor of Pulmonary Medicine, Chief of Pulmonary, Allergy, Sleep and Critical Care Medicine, and Associate Provost for Translational Science, will be awarded the 2012 Trudeau Medal from the American Thoracic Society in May. The society’s highest award, it is presented annually to an individual who has made lifelong major contributions to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of lung disease through leadership in research, education or clinical care. The award was established in 1926 and is given in honor of Edward Livingston Trudeau, a founder and the first president of the American Lung Association.
