Biography
Vanny T. McLean, NP is a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner in the Boston University Nursing Home Program and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avesidian School of Medicine. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Salem State College (2010) and Masters of Science in Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from the University of Massachusetts, Boston (2017) with ANCC certification. She joined the Boston University Nursing Home Program in 2020. In 2025, she was nominated for the BUMG Advanced Practice Provider Clinical Excellence Award.
Vanny has an interest in providing the best quality care to those who are in the nursing home setting providing subacute and long term care. She has many clinical interests including Dementia care, chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and acute conditions. Vanny serves as a preceptor for fourth year medical students at Boston University. She also enjoys providing education to nursing home staff.
