Sara K. Meibom, MD is an Assistant Professor of Radiology in Nuclear Radiology at the Boston University School of Medicine. She has been the Associate Editor for the case based continuing medical education website Case-in-Point since 2011 (Case-in-Point has an average of 500,000 annual users per year that get credit for completing the educational cases). She is the 2017 Bruce J. Hillman JACR Fellow in Scholarly Publishing and she created an on-line journal article based Quality and Safety curriculum for the JACR. She served on the Editorial Board of the JACR in 2018. She treats cancer patients with therapeutic radioisotopes including Lutathera, Y90 SirSpheres and Radium 223. She participates in weekly multidisciplinary tumors board and has a special interest in head and neck cancer imaging. She participates in research, trains and lectures Boston University residents and medical students. She lectures nuclear technology students and physicians assistant students at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences where she is the Medical Advisor. She is double boarded in Nuclear Cardiology and Nuclear Medicine.
