Biography

My area of expertise is studying disease mechanisms in vascular biology. My recent research has focused on the effect of obesity and inflammation on vascular dysfunction. I have received two R01 grants to support this line of investigation and have additionally received a 5-year PPG project grant with Dr. Ken Walsh. I also have extensive expertise in echocardigraphy and currently collaborate with several investigators in the Department of Medicine.
