Biography

Broadly, Meaghan Kennedy’s research focuses on the development and implementation of interventions to improve health outcomes for underserved populations with complex health and social needs. In her role as a research fellow at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, she worked with a team of geriatrics researchers, primary care clinicians, and community-based organizations to conduct a pilot feasibility trial of a community health worker (CHW)-delivered intervention for older adults with functional limitations in rural northern New England. She also collaborated with the Population Health department at Dartmouth-Hitchcock to implement and evaluate a primary care-based CHW program for patients with unmet social needs across the D-H health system. She completed medical school at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and her residency at NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency, and worked on the residency faculty for a year prior to beginning her fellowship. She also holds an M.P.H from Boston University School of Public Health.
