Biography

MaryAnn Dakkak has a medical degree from UC San Francisco School of Medicine and a MPH from Harvard University. Prior to medicine she worked in public health with Konbit Sante, Partners in Health and Catholic Relief Services in over 10 countries. She is a first-generation American and speaks three languages. She completed her family medicine residency at Sutter Santa Rosa, and a Surgical Obstetrics Fellowship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She is the Associate Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency, the Associate Director of Maternal-Child Health for the Family Medicine Department and an Assistant Professor at Boston University. In her full-scope family medicine practice she sees patients on the inpatient services at BMC, labor & delivery including operative obstetrics at BMC, and outpatient clinic at Manet Community Health Centers. She is the Director of Reproductive Health at Manet Health Centers directing their family planning, prenatal and LGBTQ+ programs.
Research interests: medical post graduate education, reproductive health, health disparities, obesity & obesity stigma, transgender and gender diverse health.
