Biography

Kathleen Neimann, NP, MSN, is a graduate of the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing (University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester). She has been a Nurse Practitioner on the Boston Medical Center’s interdisciplinary addiction consult service since May 2021. Her clinical work focuses on managing patient’s withdrawal symptoms, transitioning them to medication treatment for their substance use disorder, linking them to non pharmacologic supports, and simultaneously providing harm reduction. She is an active member of the Opioid Stewardship Committee. She is a CARN-AP Certified Addiction Registered Nurse – Advanced Practice, and has had her bupenorphine waiver since 2016. Prior to her work at BMC, she worked as a Primary Care NP at Manet Community Health Center in Quincy MA from 2016-2021. There, she provided primary care and addiction services to an independent panel of over 900 patients. She previously worked as an inpatient RN in CT, MA, and CA from 2012-2016. She is passionate about helping patients with their recovery goals.
