Biography

Douglas I. Katz is professor of neurology at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. After completing his residency, he focused his research on traumatic brain injury, neurorehabilitation, cognitive/behavioral neurology, acquired brain injury, and disorders of consciousness. For over 27 years Katz has been the medical director of the Brain Injury Program at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital in Massachusetts, one of the first dedicated brain injury rehabilitation programs in the US that he helped develop. For the past two years, Dr. Katz has served as president of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
