Cullen Cater, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in Gastrointestinal Surgery and 3rd year Clerkship Director at the Boston University School of Medicine. Throughout his career as a clinical instructor, he has won three different teaching awards. At BUSM, he lectures on general and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Carter is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. His primary research interest is conducting and examining the aftermath of bariatric surgery.
