Malissia serves as the Administrative Coordinator, in which capacity she oversees the workflow of another staff member and manages the day-to-day administrative activities of the office.
Ms. Evans is also the Program Coordinator for the Early Medical School Selection Program (EMSSP), an undergraduate early assurance program for underrepresented backgrounds into medicine. As Program Coordinator, Ms. Evans is responsible for arranging recruitment events and conferences with the HBCUs and other minority-serving institutions, scheduling meetings, monitoring the budget and payroll transactions, and providing support to staff members on a day-to-day basis.
Ms. Evans is a long-time employee of the Medical Campus: 9 years at Boston Medical Center, 13 years at the School of Public Health, and 15 years in the Office of Diversity & Inclusion. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies from Boston University.
