Gwynneth Offner, PhD, Named February’s Distinguished Faculty of the Month

The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Gwynneth Offner, PhD, associate professor of medicine, director of the MS in Medical Sciences Program (MAMS) and course director for biochemistry, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for February.

Dr. Offner completed her BA in chemistry at Wellesley College and earned her PhD in biochemistry at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. After 25 years directing a laboratory, she now focuses on teaching and mentoring.

Her nominators say, “Dr. Offner is a wonderful professor who cares for her students’ learning and wellbeing. She is always available to offer her time and advice to students to ensure their success.

“Dr. Offner really cares about her students … she makes decisions with their best interests in mind.”
