Lisa Mendelson Named November’s Distinguished Faculty of the Month

Headshot of Lisa MendelsonThe Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Assistant Professor of Medicine Lisa Mendelson, MSN, BSN, APRN, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for November.

Lisa has worked as a nurse practitioner in the Amyloidosis Center since October 2017. A nominator said, “Considered a clinical expert in many areas of a rare disease of amyloidosis, all members of the health care team, staff nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, pharmacists and dieticians view Lisa as an interdisciplinary team player. She is devoted to the evidence-based practice and champions the development, implementation and publication of research projects.

“Lisa gives of her time selflessly. She teaches staff and new fellows the skill to safely and gracefully treat and diagnose amyloidosis.

“Lisa is a compassionate and passionate person who advocates for all families.”
