K.H. Vincent Lau, MD, Named September’s Distinguished Faculty of the Month

Headshot of Dr. LauThe Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that K.H. Vincent Lau, MD, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for September.

Lau joined our community in July 2018 as an assistant professor of neurology. He serves as outpatient medical director of Neurology, director of the Neuromuscular Fellowship, and associate director of the Neurology Residency.

He received his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Toronto and his MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NY. He completed a residency in neurology and was chief resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He subsequently completed a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston.

His nominators say, “Dr. Lau is an incredible role model. He is one of the most outstanding teachers in our department. He creates an engaging and welcoming environment for students to learn, thrive and develop as clinicians. During COVID, he created weekly question banks for each neurology subspecialty so that the trainees could continue their learning. All students and trainees look up to him.”
