Dr. Jodi Hoffman Awarded July Distinguished Faculty of the Month

The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Jodi D. Hoffman, MD, is July’s Distinguished Faculty of the Month.

Dr. Hoffman is Associate Professor of Pediatrics. She is Chief of the Section of Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center. Her clinical and research interests include dysmorphology, connective tissue disorders, Jewish genetic diseases, genetic predisposition and rare disorders. She also serves as Medical Director of the Boston University Genetic Counseling Master’s Program.

Dr. Hoffman received her MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Yale Children’s Hospital and fellowship in Medical Genetics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The nomination states: “Dr. Hoffman demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to her university community by educating providers, medical students, residents about the utility of genetics in the medical field. Beyond sharing textbook knowledge, Dr. Hoffman acts as a supervisor for genetic counseling students within a clinical domain.”
