DistinguishedAlumni_Salcman

Wednesday, Sept. 20
Noon-1:30 p.m.
Instructional Building, Hiebert Lounge

Art and science may appear to be on opposite sides of the spectrum, but Michael Salcman, MED’69, will explore their close connection in this semester’s Distinguished Alumni Talk.

Salcman’s discussion will:

  • Explain how art and invention closely resemble the creativity in science and discovery.
  • Discuss what current neurology and neuroscience research can tell us about metaphorical thinking.
  • Examine cases of artists thinking like scientists and scientists thinking like artists.

Please RSVP for lunch.
