Target Audience: Faculty, Students, Residents, Greater Boston Scientific Community (advertised in MIT’s Bulletin).

At the conclusion of this activity participants will be able to: 1) report that research shows mTBI can enhance resistance to pneumonia in a substance P dependent manner ; 2) repeat that this research may lead to further breakthroughs in managing patients with host-driven therapies; and 3) recall that the research may also indicate that certain patients taking blockers of this pathway, such as those on aprepitant, may be more susceptible to subsequent infections.
