P&F Award
Dr. Donato Rivas, Scientist II, Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center and Assistant Professor, Tufts University has received a Pilot and Feasibility award for his project entitled “Impact of adipocyte-derived miRNA on age-associated metabolic capacity and muscle atrophy”. The overall goal of the research plan is to determine how aging impacts adipocyte miRNA expression and secretion into exosomes; and how changes in exosomal miRNA content from adipoctyes with age can impact muscle metabolic and transcriptional capacity. Dr. Rivas was funded under a targeted call for Early Career Scientists from diverse backgrounds.
