Dr. Katya Ravid Named Inaugural Incumbent, Barbara E. Corkey Professor of Medicine

Center member Dr. Katya Ravid, Professor of Medicine and Biochemistry, Boston University School of Medicine has been selected as the inaugural incumbent of the Barbara E. Corkey Professor of Medicine. Dr. Ravid’s research focuses on megakaryocyte and platelet biology. With the establishment of this Professorship, the Department of Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine honors the remarkable contributions and legacy of Barbara E. Corkey, PhD, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Corkey is also an Emeritus member of the Center. Congratulations to Dr. Ravid.
