Traumatic Brain Injury
More than 300,000 members of the US military have sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in the past fifteen years. Military members are more likely to experience TBI than their civilian counterparts. Contributing factors include demographics, the physically demanding nature of military training, greater exposure to blasts, and heightened physical intensity of leisure activities pursued by many in the military.
