Cine-forum: Enemy of the Reich

On May 25, the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs hosted a cine-forum on the critically acclaimed movie, “Enemy of the Reich.” This documentary, narrated by Academy Award winning actress Helen Mirren, portrays the story of Noor Inayat Khan, a Muslim woman who defied in the Nazis during World War II.

Alex Kronemer, executive producer, moderated a lively discussion following the presentation of the film. Students from both the Medical and Charles River Campuses participated in the discussions, which focused on topics related to diversity, reframing the debate on Islam, and on stories depicting woman as the central characters, as well as on technical aspects of making the film.

Drs. Rafael Ortega, Associate Dean in the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, and Ali Guermazi, Assistant Dean in the same office, coordinated the event, and expressed their appreciation to Kronemer for sharing his time and the movie generously with Boston University.
