The MD-PhD Program at BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine trains physician-scientists to be 21st century health care leaders. The program is currently co-led by Vickery Trinkaus-Randall, PhD, Steven Borkan, MD, Neil Ganem, PhD, and Katrina Traber, MD/PhD. Drs. Ganem and Traber will assume the director’s roles in 2026. This program facilitates student grant writing skills to obtain independent research funding, leadership skills, and provides opportunities for future research success while minimizing financial obligations during both medical and graduate school years.
