Medical Student Research Symposium (2024)
The Medical Student Research Symposium (2024) will be held in January 29, 2024, 12-2:45 pm, Hiebert Lounge. All medical students are encouraged to present their research. The event is open to the entire campus!

Displaying Your Research at the Symposium
Abstracts
- Medical students who would like to participate in the symposium may submit an abstract by using the Abstract Submission Form. The Medical Student Research Steering Committee will select several students for short talks.

Poster Information
- Do not make your poster longer than 48” in any one dimension.
- See Tips on Poster Design & Presentation to create your poster.
- You will be notified as the date gets closer about procedures for setting up your poster on the day of event.
Outstanding Research Mentor Nominations
The School of Medicine will recognize outstanding research mentors who have worked with students. Students may nominate a mentor using the Outstanding Research Mentor Nomination Form.
Symposium Schedule of Events
12:00-12:10 Welcome addresses
12:15-12:45 Group A poster presenters (even #)
12:45-1:15 Group B poster presenters (odd #). During this time posters are judged by faculty.
1:15-2:25 Short talks selected from MSSRP, LEADS, M3/M4, MD-PhD programs
2:25-2:35 Poster awards
2:35-2:45 Photos with poster winners and adjourn
