BLAST launches Summer 2025!

BLAST is a paid internship featuring problem-based learning and laboratory practicums, to help high school students foster scientific literacy and readiness for college-level science courses.

BLAST interns will also have opportunities to be matched with undergraduate, graduate, and medical students from the BU community as mentors, to support their pursuit of careers in biomedical research.

Eligibility: Must be a rising high school junior, rising high school senior, or graduating high school senior; must have a a demonstrated interest in science; honors or advanced STEM coursework preferred.

Dates: July 7-August 15, 2025

Time: Monday-Friday, 9 am-4 pm

Lunch and T-pass provided.

 

BLAST is funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (R01AR084505) from Dr. Dennis Jones, and run in partnership with BEAMS.
