  • Tiffany Mellot, PhD one of our new Research Assistant Professors was awarded a 2010 New Investigator Research Grant (NIRG) from the Alzheimer’s Association!
  • From the Dean’s August Newsletter: Faculty Awards Congratulations to the following faculty who are being recognized for their outstanding contributions to medical care, research, and education: Daniel Remick, Chair of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, was elected to the council of the Association of Pathology Chairs. Dr. Remick will chair the Advocacy Committee with responsibility for providing input about the role of pathology in healthcare reform
  • Martin Steffen, PhD is co-organizer of: COMBREX Workshop for Computational and Experimental Determination of Protein Function” as part of the 18th Annual International Meeting on Microbial Genomics, to be held Wednesday Sept. 15 at Lake Arrowhead CA. <link>
  • David Sherr PhD received a $49,967 Ignition Award (Healthcare) to develop drugs that modulate the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR). These drugs are relevant to the treatment of several cancers, inflammation, and autoimmunity.
