Racial trauma is omnipresent and significantly affects the livelihood of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color). This grand rounds will focus on defining racial trauma, discussion of the psychological mechanisms that underlie racial trauma, and a brief nod to evidence-based intervention.

1. Describe the definitions and contexts associated with racial trauma.

2. Describe the psychological mechanisms that underlie racial trauma.

3. Summarize the impact of power and privilege on their work with clients of color.
