Pharmacotherapy of Severe Mood Dysregulation

Dr. Bukstein’s presentation will highlight recent studies of the pharmacotherapy of severe mood dysregulation in children and adolescents. He will discuss the therapeutic and adverse effects of stimulants and other ADHD medications, mood stabilizers, and antipsychotics on dysregulated mood, especially in children with particularly aggressive behavior. A treatment algorithm will be presented.
