An Ongoing Crisis: Understanding and Addressing the Needs of Families Experiencing Homelessness

In this talk, Dr. Ijadi-Maghsoodi will discuss the prevalence of family homelessness and the structural and racial inequities that lead to family homelessness in the United States. Dr. Ijadi-Maghsoodi will describe adapting and piloting a family resilience intervention for homeless-experienced families in LA County during the pandemic. Dr. Ijadi-Maghsoodi will present family resilience skills and strategies, including advocacy, for addressing the mental health needs of families experiencing homelessness and at risk of homelessness.
