Scholarly Activities
The Department of Anesthesiology at Boston Medical Center has a robust infrastructure to support many scholarly interests of our residents. Both faculty and residents publish regularly in major academic journals on a variety of topics in anesthesiology. This year the department created a year long research seminar to support students, residents, and faculty in developing and completing individual research projects. The course is overseen by Dr. Simon Body and Dr. Ala Nozari and outlines in detail the process of idea formulation to journal publication. Residents also contribute often to textbook chapters that are written by a number of faculty in the department. Through the multimedia lab, residents have the opportunity to produce innovative media that is published in major journals and presented at conferences.
