Research
The Department of Medicine’s world class research programs provide many opportunities to work collaboratively with faculty to conduct laboratory, clinical, translational, or population-based research projects. The department’s research funding from the National Institutes of Health place it in the very top group of research- intensive Departments of Medicine in the United States and we have some unique research resources including our close affiliation with the Framingham Heart Study and The National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL). The department has developed core facilities and other infrastructure that support interdisciplinary research.
