Clinical Activity
The section continued to provide much outpatient and inpatient care. The outpatient program, located in the Center for Infectious Diseases (CID), is comprised of the clinical activities of the Center for HIV/AIDS Care and Research, the sexually transmitted diseases program, and the international health program which includes both refugee care and a travel clinic. These programs are integrated to provide seamless care for patients. The large volume of visits necessitates an organized approach, which also attends to the social needs of patients. The newly completed renovations of the CID provide a beautiful new venue for these activities to take place in an efficient manner.
Dr. Ioana Bica joined the section in 2005. She has diverse clinical and research interests, with a special interest in HIV and Hepatitis C.
