Participant Engagement

The Clinical Program, led by Rhoda Au, Ph.D. and Jesse Mez, M.D., will conduct neuropsychological, neurological and brain MRI examinations of surviving members of all FHS cohorts and through consensus review, adjudicate those who meet diagnostic criteria for dementia and its subtypes, including AD.

Brain Tissue Repository

This Core, formally established in 1997, is co-led by Ann McKee, MD, and Thor Stein, MD, PhD, and carefully characterizes and performs neuropathological examination of brains obtained through the Brain Donation Program.

Data Curation and Management

This Core ensures data quality and harmonizes data obtained through Participant Engagement and Brain Tissue Repository. This Core prepares data intended for use by the various research projects associated with this program and for integration into the FHS centralized database that is housed at Boston University.
