The Framingham Heart Study Brain Aging Program (FHS-BAP) is committed to revolutionizing Alzheimer’s disease (AD) research through a multi-faceted approach focused on surveillance, discovery, and collaboration. Our mission is to enhance the longitudinal evaluation of cognitive decline in FHS participants using advanced cognitive assessments and brain imaging techniques. We are also dedicated to revitalizing the brain donation program, enabling groundbreaking research into genetic factors, risk markers, and biomarkers associated with AD. By strengthening our brain bank and supporting a collaborative data-sharing platform, we aim to foster a global research community and accelerate the identification of therapeutic targets. Led by renowned experts, the FHS-BAP strives to uncover the biological foundations of AD, advancing both scientific understanding and potential solutions for preserving cognitive health.
